Custom Haz-Safe Steel Containment Sumps

Typical sump with optional safety handrails, Posi-Ventilation tube integrated within elevated floor grate and gas alarm sensor are optional. Optional replaceable PVC sump liners under round steel footers of painted elevated floor supports. Steel ramps with sloped grated floor from Haz-Safe Buildings "options."

Haz-Safe sumps are designed to provide secondary containment to catch spills and leaks from containers storing hazardous liquid chemicals. Sumps are used for storage of multiple numbers and mix of drums, pallets, and tote tanks. Utilizing Haz-Safe Buildings patented bolt-up devices, multiple modular sumps can be bolted together to provide for spill decking, storage and dispensing platforms.

STANDARD CONSTRUCTION:

Frame Continuously welded 2 "wide x 4" high x 1/4" thick wall carbon steel tube around sump perimeter on top of 4' high C-channels on 24" centers spanning across the width of the sump. Height is 8" from user foundation to top of sump wall.
Sump Floor Two component epoxy coated 10 gauge flat carbon steel plate hydro tested for any leaks after being continuously welded on top of C-channels and to perimeter tube.

  • Stainless steel clamp wall and floor plate, fiberglass, galvanized and stainless steel grating, painted all galvanized with PVC liner, and non-painted all stainless steel construction.
  • Patented sloped sump floor or patented sump floor with sloped trench, drain/alarm pit with or without exterior mounted under-the-sump-floor recessed drain pipe, hand operated drain valve, and spill alarm sensor.
Two separate modular sump floor units are to be brought together utilizing patented bolt-up hardware, including under the floor tubes with middle joint sleeves, end caps, and 1'' dia. nuts and threaded rods (excess to be cut off). Anti-spill sump joint cap to be installed before elevated floor grate is bolted in place over stainless steel floor supports.
