Coast Guard ordered a custom Haz-Safe Building for the island of Attu
on the northwestern end of the Alaskan Aleutian Island chain. Building
had to be as big as could be loaded into the cargo hold of a civilian
version of a C-130 aircraft. Rainproof Roofing, LLC., contractor out
of Anchorage, Alaska, teamed with Haz-Safe Buildings to deliver and
install the building. |
14' 8" wide
x 20 '8" long x 8' 8" high patented modular Haz-Safe building
on the shop floor ready to be separated into two modular units, shrink
wrapped and wood crated for shipment by tractor/trailer to Seattle,
WA, by barge to Anchorage and by air to Attu Island. Sunken crane
lifting lugs on roof helped add 4" to interior floor to ceiling
height. Three patented boltup "rods within-tube" under sump
floor and two at roof line exceed modular blast rate requirements. |
